Cosmic Overview:
This week starts off with the Sun entering Gemini on Monday, May 20th. This brings in a lot of fast-moving and light hearted energy, which honestly can be a nice break from the difficult heavy energies from April of this year, astrologically speaking. We will be more curious about everything, whether it is a new topic, new area of study, re-learning a skill, and/or the latest news. Our focus and smarts will be on autopilot, especially when Jupiter enters Gemini on Saturday, May 25th. We will have a stronger desire to connect with others, whether that is catching up with old friends, attending more social gatherings and events, traveling, and the like. There will be a nice boost of energy, which is suiting especially as we ramp up for the summer months ahead.
The ramped up energy continues on Wednesday, May 22nd, when the Sun trines Pluto. This transit creates intense and powerful experiences, discussions, and realizations. Clearing blockages or tension in the air with people in positions of power and authority, work, and/or in your personal life should be a little easier as Pluto will clear these out. With the Sun in Gemini, this will also inspire us to be more authoritative and take charge and create positive change. It is also a superb day for a job interview, especially with someone who holds a leadership role as this transit can help you leave a great impression. This transit also helps us go into investigative mode, so if you’ve been meaning to take up challenging subjects and issues, this is a great time to do so as it may lead to fascinating realizations and learning.
On Thursday, there is a plethora of events going on. It’s one of the juiciest days this week (and the year). Venus is moving into Gemini, setting the tone for the next few weeks. Use the power of words to manifest what you desire, just make sure what you say isn’t just false promises. To add, Venus will conjunct Jupiter, then Jupiter will sextile Neptune. Manifest, love, and love with no hesitation. Feel the good and joy from life and romanticize if you have to. This transit also makes the 23rd another great day for a job interview, accomplishing or completing a project, and/or a combination of both. Perhaps if you’re looking for a career change, a new direction, and/or a restart, this is an amazing time to brainstorm, dream, and put those goals to work.
Speaking of carving new paths, Thursday brings on the full moon in Sagittarius. Break out of stagnant energy and let go of any demons holding you back. This full moon encourages us to take risks, be optimistic about the future. set good intentions, and be grateful for what we already have. While we can always dream for more, this full moon tells us to reflect and count our blessings too. The more you can bring gratitude into your life, the better your perception of life will be and the more doors you will be able to open or see a way through. For some of us, even being grateful for those that have closed can be counted as blessings in disguise.
Jupiter moves into Gemini on Saturday, May 25th. The last 12 months, Jupiter was in Taurus, putting an emphasis on self-worth, money, resources, and stability. We may have felt stuck a lot, especially due to Taurus’ fixed energy mixed with Jupiter’s influence. The next 12 months, while Jupiter is in Gemini, our attention will gravitate towards mobility, the power of connection and networking, and importance to always keep learning and seeking knowledge. We will be almost forced to broaden our horizons and liberate from constructive thoughts. Potential to meet new friends, boost your social life, start a new side hustle, an embrace duality is at an all time high.
Key themes of the week:
Duality
The Sun enters Gemini - embracing duality and being more adaptable is a huge takeaway as we enter Gemini season, especially when Jupiter moves into Gemini. There is a plethora of duality in the world, from day and night, sun and moon, up and down, inner and outer, masculine and feminine, light and dark, just to name a few. Duality brings balance as it brings up opposites that interact with one another. It levels out the energy, such as represented in such comparisons such as yin and yang, masculine and feminine, etc. Embracing duality is crucial to fell whole. It also carves a path to acceptance, just think of phrases such as there are rainbows come with rain.
Keep Expanding
There is so much influence in the stars this week alone to go ahead and claim what is yours. With Venus and Jupiter moving into Gemini, luck will be on our side when it comes to expansion efforts, especially within our connections (romantic, friendships, professional networks) and career. Perhaps the past year we felt stuck and held back with Jupiter in Taurus, and we have potential to break free from it. If you put in the effort and hustle, what ever you’re trying to manifest can be yours. Just make sure you keep your promises, and to do your research first - with Jupiter moving into Gemini, you have no excuse for this, as information can almost feel too accessible. Also, to add, there is a full moon in Sagittarius, which inspires us to transform and keep marching on.
Gratitude
This week’s full moon in Sagittarius encourages us to not only seek new knowledge and expand our horizons, but also count our blessings and be grateful for what is already here and who is on our side. Showing appreciation, being thankful, and realizing that sometimes things work out the way they are intended to, even if its not exactly what we desire in the moment. Another spin that can be taken on this is thinking back to the last new moon in Sagittarius in December of 2023 - was there something fated or “big” that happened that maybe you thought could have been better, or to your benefit? While we don’t realize it in the moment, being grateful for lessons we learned since then and what direction we’ve been placed on, is all the universe helping to align to the path that’s yours.
